  1. ya, just get another goldfish and to play with the original goldfish! dee de dee

  2. Any cold water fish. But remember. The more you clean your tank
and the bigger it is.The more Goldfish grow.

  3. Any type of coldwater fish really, Remembering that goldfish need 40 gallons of water each.

  4. Any minnows, Danios, or shrimp would go well, the Goldfish is not predatory, so they would all be fine. How big is your tank, to keep Goldfish, I would say at least 15 gallons but more would be better because Goldfish can reach 8 inches long.

  5. goldfish are really best off with other goldfish. because they are deformed they don’t swim and compete for food very well.

  6. The Following infomation was gathered from ” ”

    Compatibility….
Goldfish should preferrably be kept with Goldfish.
In the wild they will school to a certain extent. In aquariums, however, they can be kept seperately or in a group. Goldfish are quite intelligent and will recognise the person who feeds them.
Goldfish are not particularly aggressive, so combining sizes is not often a problem. However, Goldfish with different body shapes should not be kept together. For instance, a slow, heavy-bodied Oranda should not be kept in the same tank with a fast, slightly more aggresive variety such as a Comet.
Algae eaters such as the Chinese Algae-eater, are not recommended for Fancy Goldfish, as they are very quick, grow large and, if their is not enough algae in the tank, will **** the slime coating from the slow-moving Fancy Goldfish.

  7. a pirana or a shark.

  8. get another goldfish, preferably one that is the same size, if on fish is too much bigger it will pick on the other one, an algea eater is also an alternative, you can also ask some1 who sells fish and they can give you some good ideas

  9. Anything, just as long as it can’t eat the goldfish!
I would say it would be happiest with other goldfish, as humans are with other humans.
Don’t over-crowd the tank – it leads to stress.
    Good luck, and happy fish-owning! (;

  10. I actually had the same problem. get a cat fish( well I guess the store calls them an alge eater. they can live in room temp water. goldfish shouldn’t be in cold water but room temp water. you can actually shock them and kill them.

  11. Do you know what I have that’s really cool with my gold fish? I have a blind cave fish. It originates from Mexico and is part of the tetra group. He’s now about 3 and a half inches long. Everyone says that goldfish should only be kept with goldfish. But these two get along really well! I’ve learned that the blind cave fish is actually a schooling fish, but is just fine on its own. It can adapt to all kinds of water conditions/ cold and warm, and will eat the same diet as my goldfish. Also what’s so good about it is that many other kinds of fish would nip the fins of my goldfish, but because my cavefish can’t see, he doesn’t do it. However, when I got them both I thought the goldfish was bullying my cavefish, but there was never damage done. Then I noticed that my cavefish would “push back” and let my goldfish know that he’s not stupid just because he can’t see. Now I catch them twirling around each other sometimes in a kind of fish “play” and chasing each other, but no nipping or fighting. They are at this moment just floating around together. They respect each others space. Also when I got them I only had floating flake food and the cave fish would only search for food on the bottom. I got food that floats, sits in the middle and sinks to the bottom to make sure they both get food. I also give a variety of frozen food like mosquito larvaes and lots of greens at least once a week (making sure I siphon 25% out from the bottom every week as well). They are great tank mates and the cavefish are surprisingly smart! He’s learned to go to the top for food now just cruising with his mouth open. They are great fun!

  12. goldfish need lots and lots of water just for themselves. they can get extremely large and are very messy fish. they require water with a whole lot of oxygen, so the more surface agitation, the better! lots of air pumps!
there are a great number of species of goldfish:
    moor
    oranda
    pearlscale
    ryukin
    telescope

you should try to find out which species of goldfish you have and research his compatability with other goldfish.

a smaller coldwater fish that gets along with anyone is a white cloud mountain minnow. doesnt grow over 2 inches.

just remember that if you dont have the room, you shouldnt get the fish. and goldfish are coldwater and would not survive in tropical waters, vice versa.

    good luck with your fish!

  13. Hello!
I had 2 Goldfish live together for 5 years, when one died from a tumour growth the other died within weeks from loneliness!!

In my current tank, I had 2 Goldfish till one died but my Goldfish has taken comfort in his other tankmates which include 1 Bristlenose Catfish, 2 Mollies, 4 Black Kuhli Loaches, 1 Black Angel (who has paired with the goldfish when both thier mates died) and 2 Peppered Corys. My gold fish sounds similar to the size of yours and doesn’t touch the other fish.
Don’t keep your goldfish with small tetras, they will disappear.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Karen

  14. It’s best to keep the same species of fish in the tank. So buy more goldfish. Goldfish tend to attack other fish, sometimes kill them. Also, the more goldfish in the tank, the quicker it will get dirty. And if there’s too much of them in the tank, they won’t grow as fast and as big as they should be.

  15. Anything…I like the black moors. I also like the fancy tailed gold fish. Almost anything is compatible with goldfish.

  16. Goldfish who are only the size of half of a hand aren’t medium sized, they are still very small. Your goldfish will get at least eight inches long, so make sur eyou have at least a 28 gallon if you want a second one. I would only put other goldfish with goldfish. They do well together. I doubt they would eat the other fish, but they dont get along well and the goldies are dirty and could make the other fishies sick.
